What is MOMSnext?

MOMSnext is a ministry to mothers of school age kids. Your job does not end when your children begin school! MOMSnext is here to support you in your next stage of motherhood. A MOMSnext group is an open, accepting place for all mothers of school-age kids to come, just as they are, to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope. Our monthly meetings are designed to encourage and renew you, and help you realize your influence within your family.

Why should I join MOMSnext?

MOMSnext is relationally relevant. Topics meet the specific and demanding needs of the school-age moms in each group. MOMSnext is a next step for many MOPS moms who outgrow preschool topics, but desire to continue being encouraged and supported.

Who can participate?

Moms who have at least one child of school age, kindergarten and up.

Do I need to register?

Yes, registration is required by sending in the enclosed registration form or filling it out at the first meeting.
Are there any fees? Yes, the cost is $30 for the year. If you are already a member of a MOPS group, your annual cost will be $5.

Is childcare provided?

Limited childcare will be available in the church nursery for a fee of $3 per child. Please let us know if you will be needing childcare on a regular basis, or just on occasion.

What will the evening meeting look like?

Moms will enjoy desserts and coffee during the welcome social time, followed by a speaker, and end with a small group discussion and a closing prayer.

What topics will be discussed at MOMSnext?

Look for topics such as: drug and alcohol abuse prevention, how to better communicate with your child, nutrition and childhood obesity prevention, bullying and choosing friends, money management for kids, and homework help.

Where and when are the meetings?

Meetings are will be held on the last Tuesday of the month from 7pm-9pm, in the Church Lounge at Trinity Lutheran Church, 38900 Harper Avenue, in Clinton Twp (September through May).
